- How have you experienced female empowerment in your career as a
businesswoman?
The world of gastronomy and most positions of power around the world are led by men. Entering this world, proving to myself and those around me that women can also take on projects as large and challenging as this one, and doing so successfully has been very rewarding for me. It drives me to do whatever I set my mind to.
- What advice would you give to other young women considering starting their own business?
Don't think twice. There's a saying I really like and have tried to carry with me as a shield: " The sooner I start, the sooner I make mistakes, the sooner I'll get to where I want to be ." So my advice is to take a risk, to start now, even if everything isn't the way you want it, even if it's not perfect. Along the way, you can correct and improve.

- How have you sought and found support in the business community,
especially among women entrepreneurs?
I try to surround myself with women who are where I want to be, women who think about supporting, not competing. I read a lot, I listen to podcasts about this, and I even have many friends and colleagues who share knowledge and tools with each other, and when we're downhearted or in difficult times, we lend a shoulder to keep going. I also really enjoy sharing with them what I've achieved because, in the end, what we want is to be successful, and if we're successful together, it's even better. That's also part of success for me.
- How do you integrate sustainability principles into the daily operation of your
restaurant?
Regarding environmental sustainability, we are currently processing an organic waste program with the Municipality. We use solar panels in some of our electrical installations to help reduce electricity consumption, and one of our goals this year is to develop a chemical-free organic garden so we can harvest some of the produce we use in our dishes. Regarding the social sphere, we work within a framework of gender equality and the defense of women's rights, as harassment is unfortunately very common. We strive to ensure that our girls always feel comfortable and supported.
- What have been the biggest challenges you've faced in opening The Garden, and how have you overcome them?
One of the biggest challenges has been managing staff. Being a female boss is a huge challenge. Sadly, we live in a culture where there's still a lot of machismo. How have we overcome it? With a lot of support from collaborators who share the same mission and vision for the project, support from family, friends, my partner and business partner, who is the one who is with me in the decision-making and supports me a lot, and the most important part: a
A huge amount of internal work. You have to be mentally fit to be able to handle complicated situations wisely.
- Can you share any significant achievements that have highlighted the importance of perseverance and dedication in your entrepreneurial journey?
We just celebrated our first anniversary! It was a wonderful year, where we learned a lot, where I had the opportunity to meet customers who have become our friends, to eat delicious food, to experiment, to believe in the project, and to continue believing that we can achieve even greater things with perseverance, dedication, love, and passion. I'd say it was a very successful year for us.
- What advice would you give to other businesswomen, especially those who are
starting?
Don't give up. Life is a roller coaster. One day we're at the top of our game and the next we're at the bottom, but if we keep going, staying firm, strong, and brave, that's where the reward comes. Don't even turn back to gain momentum!
